October!!

The past two weeks have been crammed with blessings - birthdays, celebrations, and football games! Steve and two of his friends all turned 40 (!) and there was a great party in their honor. It was wonderful to see some folks we haven't seen in a while.

Steve - what a marvelous gift he is to us!
He blesses us in so many ways and we are SO very proud of him!

Can't beat dinner out with great friends!

The next pics are of Deven during his last two football games....one more game to go.

My friend Hilda has a grandson on the same team as Deven.
Hilda is one of my prayer partners and a member of Joy Club :)

Coffee with Marva & Beckie

Jared and Noah showing me their new magic 'disappearing nose' trick :)
It was great to spend time with them and their dear mom!

Noah has also had two flag football games during the last two week. He ended his season with a great touchdown run! There are also some pics of the kids at a playground and at a very windy Ottawa Beach.

Steve & I share October birthdays and it was great to celebrate with him, my family, and friends.

Ten Days in Autumn

Quick update - Life in pictures.....

Baby shower for Linz :)

Card-making at Marva's

Happy Birthday, Bob!

Deven - SCHS j.v. football. He sure is fun to watch!

Touchdown!

The next photos are of times spent with Abby, Sophie, and Noah - apple picking, Noah's games, and simple moments of genuine fun.

Another day enjoying the ArtPrize entries - this time with my sisters :) A highlight was when the organist of a downtown church gave us a private concert - that pipe organ makes beautiful music! Another special, but somber, moment was when we found the name of my cousin's son on a memorial wall for military personnel killed in the Iraq War.

A video chat with Laura and A. Mae

Lunch with Beckie - outdoors in October!

The Bonnema house has been sold.... Bill's parents moved there in 1949 and it was his mom's home until three years ago when she moved to a nursing home. LOTS of memories in that house!

Some of the Bonnema clan who helped move the last of Mom's things out of the house

So many kind folks showed up this morning as we helped our friends pack up their possessions. By tomorrow afternoon, the house will be empty and ready for a new family to move in :)
"Many hands make light work."

We have the BEST friends!!!
