Sophie and Abby had a soccer game Saturday morning. The first two pictures are of Abby and the last two are of Sophie.






On Saturday evening, we were blessed with time with our friends Randy & Sharolyn :)


Today is Easter! We celebrate with our Michigan family in the evening. Tori was the big winner in the Easter egg hunt - she found the egg with the $10 bill in it :)

It's April !!

A quick update of fun times with family and friends....

Tom & Anna invited us to a 'Bill Knapp's dinner', complete with BK's famous chocolate cake, au gratin potatoes, and buttermilk biscuits - Yum! And good memories, too, of one of our favorite restaurants from days gone by.



Abby and Sophie planted an acorn that had sprouted - it's protected from footsteps by the stick fence they put around it. (Notice the warm-weather clothes!)


We love Sunday nights at Steve & Lynn's! Here are a couple of pics of Tori - one of her and Sami and another of her practicing softball w/ Steve in preparation for her first season of playing ball :)



Bill was given a gift cards for his birthday from Abby, Sophie, and Noah. Each of the kids will treat Bill to dinner at their favorite restaurants :) His first date was last Tuesday with Noah at 84 East. What fun!

GREAT night with John & Jo on Wednesday! Dinner out followed by raspberry wine in chocolate cups back at their house. Perfect.




Deven had a track meet on Thursday. He's so fast, I had trouble catching him in action!



Abby and Sophie had their first soccer game Saturday morning. Here's a pic of Abby playing goalie.


Bob & Julie invited us to their home on Sunday evening - what a treat that was! Julie is making good progress after a terrible skiing accident exactly two months ago today. But she has a long, slow road of recovery ahead of her - please pray for patience, peace, and complete healing. A link to her carepage can be found in the right-hand column.

Snow this morning - April 18!!!


It was wonderful to see my friends Grady and Gerri today. They are both celebrating their 91st birthdays this week - Grady today and Gerri on Wednesday. What day brighteners they are!

Also enjoyed time with Jay & Elaine - sure miss all of them at Bible study!


We've missed Gary and Shirley while they were enjoying the sunshine and warm weather in Florida for several months. It was wonderful to get together - we love our dinners out with them and Curt & Jan!

Great Month!

First, we are so thankful that Bill's second knee replacement surgery is behind him. The results are incredible! This recovery seemed to go even better than the first, which we didn't think was possible. Here's proof of Dr. Lovell's expertise:



Abby, Sophie, and Noah spent a week in Arizona with Anna's parents and Grandpa. We were able to visit with them via Skype and they told us some of the fun they were having. What a marvelous gift from Grandpa Bob, Grandma Nancy, and Great-Grandpa Low!



Poor Amelia had a major run-in with a door frame. Poor sweetie....


Our niece Laiya was in South Christian's musical Annie. She did a terrific job!

Tonight we had dinner with our small group. Can you say fun?!?

In March we had a marvelous trip to California to spend some time with Laura & Ben and Amelia! We had a great dinner at Martha & Chuck'and went to Stone Brewery, San Diego Wild Animal Park, and Malibu Beach. We also spent two glorious days at the home of our friends, Luke & Diane, who treated us to warm hospitality, great meals, and a day of wine tasting - in a limo! What fun that was! Amelia is a great joy and time with Laura and Ben is always wonderful. Can hardly wait to go back!

We were home for one day before heading to Chicago with Tom & Anna and Abby, Sophie, and Noah, part of the kids' Christmas present. We stayed at a hotel with a great waterpark and made trips to Brookfield Zoo and Legoland. The kids have so much fun with everything they do and we had great fun spending the weekend with the five of them!
