Wonder-ful !

Our week started with a great pancake breakfast at church before the worship service last Sunday. The cause was Ride for Refuge - check it out at rideforrefuge.org

What a terrific turn-out for the 20th Annual Car Hop at Caledonia CRC on Monday! Lots of folks enjoyed tailgating and just hanging out. We enjoyed the food and time with lots of family members - and, of course, the sweet servers. Such fun!

Noah had soccer games on Tuesday evening and again this morning :)

A friend from junior high found me on facebook - we hadn't seen each other in 45 years! We met for lunch on Thursday with a few other friends/classmates. Was that ever wonderful!!

Dawn, Joyce, Pam, Joanne

Me with my friends :)

Deven had another great football game Thursday night - 83 yards in 12 carries!

Sweet Amelia in her new pj's :)

Tonight we celebrated the 46th anniversary of our 'dearest and best'. Congratulations, Dick and Jacque!
Our dessert - yes, that's ice cream.
And you can tell Dick still loves his bride :)

This picture was taken in downtown G.R. I love the reflection of one building on another....
May your life reflect
the many blessings God sends our way
through family, friends, and fellowship!

Day by Day

It rained last Saturday during Noah's soccer game, but we had great fun anyway - as you can see in these pictures....
Noah thought my umbrella hat was perfect :)

Abby

LOVE this one of Sophie :)

Sophie and Anna

And yes, there was a soccer game...

Saturday afternoon I attended an open house to celebrate the 80th birthday of my friend Jay. He's been my buddy and a faithful member of Joy Club for many years.

Sunday breakfast friends .......

Sunday evening was All Nations Night at church. The number of countries represented there was incredible - God's colorful kingdom!
Our Burundian friends blessed us with music from their homeland

Levi tries to break the pinata

Kristofer and his loot

Abby recycled part of the pinata and has a new hat :)

Bill was able to help Theogene with math homework

Lidia's basketball game on Monday was the shortest in history....we saw only the last few minutes. But that was long enough to tell that she is a great player!

Monday dinner with Ali and Gerrit was wonderful. As you can see, the food portions were abundant.

Tuesday we had dinner w/ Tom and Anna and the kids. Those kids sure love their daddy (and their mommy, of course)!

Tuesday night we visited with Laura & Ben via skype. Amelia loves the picture of her cousins :)

Cool California gal :)

I failed to get a picture of sweet Michelle who blessed me with conversation over lunch on Wednesday. Also missed a shot of bro-in-law Dave who had surgery on his ankle - again. He probably doesn't mind that I didn't get a picture; besides, it looks exactly like one taken last January when he had his first surgery - minus the pins through his leg. Praying for a rapid recovery for him!

On Thursday I spent some time with my friend Marcia and her precious daughter. The expression on Talia's face is a family trait on her daddy's side. I think she's deep in thought - love it :)

She was also full of smiles - what a doll!

Deven is having a great season on the football field. He had another 98 yards rushing this week!

Friday evening was 'Live Mannequin' night in Holland. Tori went with me :) We met Tom and Anna and kids for dinner and then wandered the very crowded streets of town. The mannequins were incredible - a great variety, all with the general theme of music.

The kids with their friend Brandon (Superman :)

Stopping to see Lucy the dog @ the Visitors' Center

Noah - my FAVORITE mannequin!

Sweet Tori by the outdoor fireplace

Laura emailed this pic of Amelia in a little dress I picked up at the New Life Thrift Store - she sure looks cute in it!

This picture was taken in Chicago last December....

May you always have a ticket that takes you to
interesting places
fun events
precious friends
and beloved family!

Ten Days - Tons of Fun!

Another post without many comments but some great photos from the last ten days.....

We saw the Genesis Code with a group of friends from church and enjoyed coffee and desserts afterward - great evening!

You can tell why I had great fun last Wednesday :)
Sarah and her boys

Then a visit with my friend Ruth - what a dear she is!

Deven is off to a great start in his freshman season of football at SCHS! These pictures are from his game last week....

Touchdown!!!

A pic swiped off fb :)

Austin and Deven

Beckie's therapy for her broken finger...it looks like she's having fun, but it's hard work!

To celebrate my Mom's birthday, we girls took her 'up north' to the grand towns of Lucas and McBain for a walk down memory lane. We saw lots of special locations and made stops by some relatives. It was a great day! Mom is 84 years young and keeps up with the rest of us without missing a beat :)

Sunday breakfast friends

Labor day was wet - rain, rain, and more rain!

Lunch with Beckie...

...and then supper with the fam. (Ron & Rose - we miss you!)

Rick has a new treasure - my Dad's wedding ring

Deven had another great game last night - 98 yards rushing and two touchdowns!

A fun coincidence - Our nephew Tony saw Grandma B.'s car listed for sale on-line and is now the happy owner. He was SURE it was Uncle Bill who posted the car for sale - he'd recognize those legs anywhere (look closely :)

Sure miss this little miss!

And I'm eager to have 'tea' with her and Laura!

And finally....
May your days be packed
with friends and family and fun!
